MURRAY – Parents of Murray High School band members learned through an email from Principal Tony Jarvis Wednesday afternoon that Band Director Tim Zeiss has resigned from his position.

In an email addressed to MHS Band parents and guardians with the subject line “ Update Regarding Murray Tiger Band,” Jarvis broke the news of Zeiss’s seemingly sudden departure. The email is as follows:

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I want to take a moment to share some important news regarding the Murray High School Band. After leading the Murray band for a number of years, Mr. Tim Zeiss has made the decision to resign from his teaching position and as band director.
