BRAWLEY —The Brawley Police Department has announced a DUI (Driving Under the Influence) checkpoint to be held on Friday, September 26th. The checkpoint will be operational from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at an undisclosed location within the city limits.
According to a press release, the primary goal of the checkpoint is to promote public safety by deterring and removing impaired drivers from the road. "Impaired drivers put others on the road at significant risk," said Chief Jimmy Duran. "Any prevention measures that reduce the number of impaired drivers on our roads significantly improve traffic safety."
