A police cordon is in place in Thornaby with crime scene investigators at the scene. A cordon is in place on Baysdale Road in Thornaby, as officers work at the scene.

Pictures takes at around 2.00pm on Thursday, September 25, show the cordon in place with a CSI van and officer at the scene. A resident has said there was a heavy police presence in the early hours of the morning.

They added that three police cars and a van were earlier at the scene, along with two ambulances also in attendance. Emergency services have been approached for further details.
