MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Trick-or-treating across the city of Morgantown will take place Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m., city officials announced.

Before the evening’s door-to-door candy hunt, families are invited to gather at the Ruby Amphitheater for the Halloween Spooktacular, a free community event running from 4 to 6 p.m. The celebration will include candy giveaways, kid-friendly activities and booths hosted by local businesses and organizations.

Entertainment will feature screenings of "Hocus Pocus 2" at 5 p.m. and "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" at 7 p.m.

City officials said the event is designed to give families a safe, fun and accessible way to enjoy the holiday together.
