The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the untimely death of legendary Assamese singer Zubeen Garg has arrested musician Shekhar Jyoti Goswami, who was present during the controversial yacht trip linked to the incident.

Goswami has been taken into custody for questioning, though officials have not yet disclosed the nature of allegations against him or whether formal charges will follow.

Sources confirmed that the investigation is progressing with multiple leads as investigators attempt to reconstruct the chain of events that led to Garg’s sudden demise.
