TWINSBURG, Ohio (WOIO) - Twinsburg Police are investigating after a custodian found a gun in the women’s bathroom at the Twinsburg High School stadium Field House this weekend.

According to a letter sent out to parents, a custodian found the gun in a sanitary dispenser while cleaning the women’s restroom and immediately notified his supervisor and the police.

Police officers removed the gun and continue to investigate.

Interim Superintendent Steve Marlow said in the letter that the placement of the gun occurred sometime between the Saturday morning junior varsity football game and the end of the Saturday youth football games.

Both schools released letters to families outlining the increased security measures for the football game.
