A 14-year-old boy from Brewer was arrested Wednesday morning after allegedly leading Bangor police on a chase in a stolen car.
The teen has been charged with refusing to stop for law enforcement, aggravated criminal mischief, driving to endanger and refusing to submit to arrest, according to Sgt. Jason McAmbley, a spokesperson for the Bangor Police Department. He also faces a charge of unauthorized use of property in Brewer.
The boy was spotted on Main Street early Wednesday morning in a vehicle reported stolen in Brewer. When the officer pulled the boy over, he fled and the officer gave chase, McAmbley said Thursday.
