CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — During the fall season, Halloween costumes can be pricey for families with kids, so the Clarksburg Police Department is hosting a costume drive to help them out.

Clarksburg Police Department Records Clerk Lindsey Cooper is heading the operation. She is encouraging people in the local community to donate costumes.

“We just really appreciate any donations. We’re taking anything new or gently used, it has to be in pretty good shape, and then we just want every kid to feel included," Cooper said. "Right now, I’ve had people tell me how expensive costumes are this year and we want to make sure every kid goes to their party or goes to the parade at school and feels included.”
