CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — To help extend a helping hand to those who have given their all for our country, the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center held an event on Thursday to help point veterans in need to the right resources.

On Thursday, the VA Park's Osbourne Shelter was packed with different resources for veterans as a part of the medical center's "Stand Down" event.

In the military, the term "stand down" means to go from a state of readiness to a state of ease, and by bringing all of these resources to veterans, the VA was seeking to take a load off in a different fashion.
