CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — The recent announcement of the Clarksburg YMCA's upcoming closure came as a surprise to many people, including three local swim teams that use its pool, and with the facility set to close before this year's swim season begins, coaches are scrambling to find a solution.

The Clarksburg YMCA is set to close its doors nearly a month before the start of swim season, leaving South Harrison, Robert C. Byrd, and Notre Dame High Schools all at a loss with trying to find the best solutions for their swim teams, as they all used the public facility for practices and meets.

South Harrison High School Head Swim Coach Camden Cutlip told 12 News about how his students initially took the news of the YMCA's closure.
