ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — More than 500 Monroe County youth will soon have new opportunities to gain work experience through “ROC Your Job,” a $4 million after-school employment program.
The initiative, launched in partnership with Rochester Works, is designed for participants aged 14 to 20 from low-income households. The program aims to help young people build resumes and increase their chances of securing full-time employment in the future.
"It's about creating opportunity, particularly to our communities that are hit hardest by economic challenges, and it's about providing meaningful employment," said Monroe County Executive Adam Bello.
