CASS COUNTY, Mich. — A man was injured early Friday morning when he crashed into a cow in the road in Cass County.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. in the 70400 block of Calvin Center Road. A 67-year-old Dowagiac man had been driving southbound when he hit a cow that had been in the road, investigators say.

The man was unable to get out of the vehicle on his own and was later helped by responding deputies. He was then taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

This incident remains under investigation.
