BUSHWICK, Brooklyn (PIX11) -- One of Brooklyn's most popular spots for gaming and esports is starting a new adventure with a new team-up.

BrookLAN, a home for gamers of all kinds, closed the doors on its Troutman St. location on Thursday, after five years in the Bushwick neighborhood. Since 2020, it's served as a modern-day internet cafe offering esports, video gaming, tabletop gaming and tournaments along with themed food and drinks.

The closing comes as the business prepares to team up with fellow gaming lounge OS NYC to open a new location at 50 Bowery in Chinatown.

"We decided to close the Bushwick location as we felt like it made more sense for the community to consolidate into one. OS is a beautiful venue," a representative for BrookLAN told PIX11 News in a statement.
