PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Starbucks announced Thursday that it will close hundreds of its stores throughout the country, but how many are they planning to close in the Portland metro area?

As of Friday morning, Starbucks has not formally released a list of closures, but the coffee giant's website and app reflect that at least three Portland locations are closing this weekend: • PacWest Center on SW Fifth Avenue • Portland State University location on SW Sixth Avenue • SW Capitol Highway location near Multnomah Village

However, there may be more stores closing in our area. The company says to check the Starbucks app for the most up-to-date information.
