SHOW LOW, AZ (AZFamily) — A deadly crash has closed a major eastern Arizona highway on Friday morning.

Police from Show Low and Snowflake-Taylor, along with Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers, responded to the two-vehicle crash just before 9 a.m. on SR 77 at Lone Pine Dam Road .

A DPS official confirmed a death in this crash. It’s unclear how many people were involved or the extent of their injuries.

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) said authorities have closed northbound lanes at milepost 349 and closed southbound lanes are closed at milepost 357. It’s unknown how long the highway will be closed.
