MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Tennessee Health Facilities Commission voted unanimously to approve building a freestanding emergency room for the city of Murfreesboro.

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center made a certificate of need for the emergency room in Southern Murfreesboro.

The $19 million TriStar Murfreesboro emergency room will expand 24/7 emergency care to residents in southern Rutherford County.

The facility will have the following:

11 treatment and exam rooms

1 trauma room

A full-service lab and advanced imaging department

A 3-bay ground transport base
