EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Sam Taylor, the Evansville police officer who was shot in the line of duty this past weekend, is being relocated.

Officials tell us Officer Taylor is being flown to a new hospital for rehab.

Friday afternoon, Ofc. Taylor is being taken to the United Companies Air Center in Evansville for the flight.

14 News will be live at the airport as Taylor is being transported.

“We encourage everyone to line the route from the hospital to the airport to show their love and support for Officer Taylor during this important step in his recovery,” says the FOP Lodge #73 on Facebook.
