BRIDGEPORT W.Va. (WV News) — The Meadowbrook Mall hosted a vaccine and lead testing clinic sponsored by the insurance company Wellpoint on Friday.

The Harrison County Health department administered the influenza vaccine and the Monongalia County Health Departments Women Infants and Children program did the lead testing portion of the clinic.

Within the first hour of the clinic, over 25 flu shots were administered and 14 lead tests were given — with a two hour waiting list to receive a test or vaccine.

Darlene Stuckey, with Wellpoint, said the company has done more than 80 lead tests in the last two weeks in partnership with health departments in the region.
