MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia will start a different quarterback for the first time in 2025 on Saturday when it welcomes Utah for a 3:30 p.m. matchup at Milan Puskar Stadium.
Nicco Marchiol was ruled out Thursday night in an update to the Big 12 Conference player availability reports. Marchiol was in Colorado to see a lspecialist Tuesday for a foot issue and is responsible for all but six of WVU’s 72 completions and 720 of the team’s 812 yards through the air.
However, a 13-yard touchdown run from quarterback Jaylen Henderson’s in last week’s 31-point setback at Kansas marked the only time the Mountaineers reached the end zone.
