After many places picked up over half a foot of rainfall to start the week, we’re finally beginning to transition into a drier and calmer pattern.

A high-pressure system has moved into the Ozarks, making it quite difficult for any clouds to form, let alone bring any rain over the next week.

Temperatures will be the nice part of this stretch. While highs will be above-average for late September, they won’t be extreme. Expect high temperatures to reach the low to mid-80s throughout the week.

While the pattern is quieting down for the Ozarks, hurricane activity is starting to ramp up in the Atlantic. Just this week, we've already seen two named storms, with signs of a third—Hurricane Imelda—beginning to form.
