GRAND FORKS — Grand Forks Central lost three one-possession games last season.

This year is different.

Grand Forks Central beat Fargo South 41-38 on Friday night in a wild game that featured several major swings.

Central led 27-10 late in the second quarter, gave up four straight touchdowns, then rallied from down 11 points in the final six minutes for the win.

The Knights improved to 5-0.

"This game showed a lot about our team," Central coach Jake Schauer said. "We never quit. We fought to the end. When you do that, good things happen. We had a rough year last year, where we were in so many close games like that, but they didn't go our way. That says a lot about the guys we have on the bus right now."
