McKeesport fans were happy to see Kemon Spell back in the lineup for Friday's night's Greater Allegheny Conference opener against visiting Hampton.
After losing three of its last four games with Spell out of the lineup with an ankle injury, McKeesport dominated Hampton 46-7, with Spell scoring three touchdowns.
Spell, a Penn State recruit, opened the season with a 292-yard rushing performance and scored five touchdowns, including a 98-yard kickoff return, in McKeesport's win against Delaware Valley.
Spell suffered an ankle injury prior to McKeesport's second game against Peters Township and did not play. He returned for the Tigers’ third game against Thomas Jefferson but limped off the field after only three plays.
