HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Oahu renters have a chance to get laptops and cellphones to help with their job searches and educational pursuits.

The giveaway comes from the Hawaiian Council, in partnership with the City and County of Honolulu’s Office of Economic Recovery and Hale Kipa.

The council will host a Housing Stability Services Resource Fair on Monday, Sept. 29, from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Hale Kipa in Ewa Beach.

The free, community-centered event is open to the public and designed to connect Oahu renters with essential resources, services, and support.

The 400 free laptop computers and 200 cellphones will be provided to qualified individuals to help with job searches, employment, and educational pursuits.
