It looks like Goodyear Golf Club's golf course and the surrounding property will be up for grabs.

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. plans to sell hundreds of acres of "excess property" at the Jenny Lane site, a company official told the Register & Bee on Wednesday.

"We can confirm that Goodyear will be offering for sale up to 500 acres of excess property surrounding its Danville plant, including the golf course," Matt Kelly, Goodyear's manager of regional manufacturing and supply chain communications in North America, said via email.

The land is not being used for plant operations, Kelly added.

"This sale presents an opportunity to optimize Goodyear's real estate footprint while supporting broader community development," he said.
