WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn (PIX11) -- A woman riding a bicycle was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Brooklyn early Saturday morning, police said.

The 32-year-old woman was found unconscious and unresponsive near the intersection of Meserole Street and Leonard Street in Williamsburg around 2:36 a.m., according to authorities.

She was riding her bike down Meserole Street when she was hit by a person driving a blue Tesla, going in the same direction, officials reported.

The Tesla driver continued going, meanwhile, EMS transported the woman to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The investigation into the incident remains on going.
