MINEOLA, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man with multiple warrants out for his arrest is accused of setting a car on fire in Mineola on Saturday, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
Police said it happened near Herricks Road and Jackson Avenue around 4:10 a.m. Glenn Annesley is accused of getting into a 2011 Toyota parked in the area before setting it aflame, according to authorities.
Police said the 62-year-old Garden City man allegedly ran from the scene. The car sustained heavy damage, according to authorities.
No injuries were reported. Police found Annesley at a local hospital around 4 p.m. and took him into custody.
Annesley has three active warrants against him in Nassau County, according to authorities. He was charged with arson and will be arraigned when he recovers.
