MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) -- A Madison police officer is now in stable condition after they were involved in a serious squad crash.

The crash happened around 2p.m. near McFarland on the 1200 Block of East Broadway. The officer was assisting an outside agency.

According to Madison Police Department, t he officer involved has serious injuries but is in stable condition. The officer and their family are requesting privacy at this time.

MPD said any questions about the incident should be directed to the Monona Police Department.
