To set up Alabama football's 2-yard touchdown run by Ty Simpson late in the first half, the Crimson Tide needed an offensive lineman. But not in the traditional sense.

Alabama left tackle Kadyn Proctor lined out wide and took a screen pass for an 11-yard gain to set up a 2-yard score. Proctor barreled through Georgia defenders who were blocked by wide receiver Germie Bernard and running back Jam Miller.

Proctor widely is projected to be a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft and has been a mainstay for the Crimson Tide at left tackle all season.

Alabama leads Georgia 24-14 at half.
