The Norfolk State football team showed grit and promise on the road Saturday afternoon, jumping out to a two-touchdown lead before falling 18-13 to Wagner at Hameline Field. Both teams now sit at 1-4 on the season.
Quarterback Otto Kuhns led the Spartans' aerial attack, completing 17 of 28 passes for 119 yards. On the ground, Kevon King powered the run game with 48 yards and a touchdown, while Jaylen Laudermilk (27 yards), Kuhns (25), and X'Zavion Evans (24) provided a balanced rushing effort. Evans also broke through for NSU’s opening score with a 14-yard touchdown run.
