An estimated 58 million corndogs and sausage on a stick products are being recalled. They may be contamination with wood pieces, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The wood chips could be embedded in the batter.

Hillshire Brands Company said the wooden sticks entered the production process before battering.

These products were packed between March and September of this year. They have the establishment number of "EST-582" or "P-894" on the packaging.

They were sold online and in-stores, nationwide. They were also sent to schools and Department of Defense facilities.

Multiple people complained, which began Hillshire Brands' investigation.

Five people were injured as a result of the wood chips.
