Emergency services race to M8 West Lothian 'incident' as slip

Police have closed off an element of a slip-road following an 'incident.'

An officer in high-vis can be seen standing on the grass embankment by the M8 westbound at Junction 3A by Boghall.

The Scottish Ambulance Service are visible in an image shared with Edinburgh Live.

The incident is understood to have taken place at around 4.50pm on Sunday September 28.

Traffic Scotland took to X, posting: "A police incident means the M8 westbound off-slip at Junction 3A is restricted."

It is not yet known the exact nature of the emergency response.

Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
