Norfolk kitchen blaze displaces 2 adults on Quincy Street

NORFOLK, Va. — Two adults have been displaced after a fire in the 8400 block of Quincy Street in Norfolk Sunday afternoon.

Norfolk Fire-Rescue crews were called to the home in the Alden Heights area at 1:19 p.m. They found smoke and fire coming from multiple windows on the back of the home.

Firefighters located the bulk of the fire in the kitchen, and it was marked under control at 1:39 p.m.

The American Red Cross has been notified of the two adults who have been displaced. One civilian was evaluated on scene for possible injuries but was not transported. No firefighter injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
