HAMPTON, Va. — Hampton police are investigating a shooting that left one man with a non-life-threatening injury early Sunday.

The shooting was reported at 1:12 a.m., according to Hampton Police Division. The call came from Sentara CarePlex Hospital reporting they were treating a gunshot victim who had walked into the emergency room.

The man who was shot told police it happened at the Zaxby’s in the 2200 block of Todds Lane, according to a Hampton police press release. An argument took place between the victim and suspect, at which point the suspect allegedly shot the victim before leaving the scene.

Hampton police are investigating.
