ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It's a culture-filled weekend, and community leaders are celebrating New Mexico's diversity by throwing an International Festival. The free all-ages event featured a variety of activities, food, and vendors offering products and resources for health, safety, and education.
"Because we want the community to know that we got all kinds of things going on. WE're more than just crimes, we're more than just drugs that's going on. We have a lot of the resources out here for people who are struggling that they may not know about. You know, a lot of housing resources, community resources, and it just brings everybody together to let them know that the community can come together and we can have a nice event," says co-organizer Stacey Burleson.
