CASS COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - One person is dead and two people are injured, after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of M-51 Hwy and Crystal Springs St., in Dowagiac in Pokagon Township.

Investigation shows that a vehicle driven by a 53-year-old was heading south on M-51, when another vehicle driven by a 52-year-old failed to stop at a stop sign at Crystal Springs St. and was hit.

The 52-year-old, identified as Steven Dodd, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 53-year-old was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

A passenger in the at fault vehicle, a 24-year-old, was also taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

It’s currently unknown if seat belts were worn at the time of this crash.
