CASS COUNTY, Mich. (WNDU) - A man is dead and two people are injured after a two-vehicle crash on Saturday evening in Cass County.

It happened around 6:45 p.m. at the intersection of M-51 and Crystal Springs Street in Pokagon Township.

Police say a 53-year-old man was driving south on M-51 when he hit another vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign at Crystal Springs Street.

The driver of the vehicle that failed to stop, 52-year-old Steven Dodd of Niles, died at the scene. A passenger in his vehicle, a 24-year-old South Bend man, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash was also taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
