PRINCETON, Indiana — An 18-year-old is behind bars after southern Indiana police say he led them on a multi-county chase on Saturday.
According to a release from the Princeton Police Department , on Sept. 27 an officer attempted to stop a vehicle for "multiple" traffic violations.
Police say when the officer attempted to turn around on the vehicle, it allegedly fled at a "high-rate of speed." That's when police initiated a chase. A Gibson County deputy helped the Princeton officer during the pursuit, police said.
Police say the chase traveled through Francisco and Oakland City into Pike County. That's where Pike County deputies deployed the stop sticks that finally put an end to the chase.
The 18-year-old suspect was booked at the Gibson County Jail on preliminary charges of resisting
