SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Nebraska (KCAU) – Dozens of golfers spent their day out on the Covington Links Golf Course not only enjoying their Sunday, but also raising money for Siouxland Freedom Park.

For the second year in a row Freedom Park has invited folks to a golf tournament at Covington Links.

There folks can play through 18 holes, paying a fee of course to participate, with all profits made from the event going towards completing a recording studio at Siouxland Freedom Park.

"It will allow veterans to come in, no matter whether they're fully able or disabled, to be able to tell their story not only to their families, to our community, but to the world and it will be preserved forever," said Rene Lapierre, Siouxland Freedom Park's vise president of the board of directors.
