INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after a man was critically injured after being struck by a car Sunday night on the near east side of Indianapolis .
According to IMPD Capt. John Arvin at the scene, around 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 28, officers were called to the intersection of East New York Street and North Randolph Street on a report that a person had been struck by a car.
When officers arrived on scene, they found an adult male in the street with "multiple" injuries, including broken bones and a possible broken hip, according to Capt. Arvin.
The man was treated at the scene before he was taken to a hospital by medics in critical but stable condition. Police say he was rushed right into surgery.
