A teenager who was stabbed to death with a machete in Victoria’s Gippsland region has been remembered as a “beautiful young boy”.

Kaiden Morgan was found seriously injured on The Boulevard in Morwell about 10.25pm on Saturday.

7NEWS understands the 18-year-old was involved in an altercation with a group of people who were known to him and was stabbed several times.

He was taken to hospital but died a short time later.

Police also found a 20-year-old man around the corner on Gillies St with non-life-threatening injuries.

He was taken to hospital.
