RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Unsettled weather is set to continue across Central North Carolina this week, bringing a mix of conditions.
Monday will be breezy, with gusts reaching up to 20 mph. High temperatures will range from the mid-60s to the low 70s. Rainfall totals are expected to reach up to an inch for most areas, while parts of Sampson, southern Wayne, and southern Cumberland counties could see up to two inches, potentially causing localized flooding.
By Wednesday, sunshine will return as the storm system moves away from the coast. Temperatures are forecasted to rise later this week and into the weekend, as an upper ridge builds over the eastern U.S., with more persistent troughing in the west.
