CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Chesapeake police said they are investigating an accident that sent one person to the hospital on Monday morning.

Police said they were called to the intersection of Centerville Turnpike and Elbow Road at about 8:17 a.m.

According to police, a vehicle traveling northbound turned left at the intersection in front of a vehicle traveling southbound, and the two collided.

The driver who was traveling northbound was taken to the hospital after sustaining minor injuries.

Police said they are continuing to investigate the crash.
