FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno Police Department has identified the man who was stabbed in southeast Fresno.

He's been identified as 38-year-old Alejandro Garcia.

Police say the stabbing happened at 10:45 a.m. Sunday on Garrett and Maple avenues.

When officers arrived, they found Garcia suffering from multiple stab wounds to his upper body.

He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

Investigators say Garcia was approached by two men and a woman when a fight broke out, leading to one of the men stabbing Garcia.

All three suspects then fled the scene in a car.
