FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A man was fatally stabbed Sunday morning, and authorities are actively searching for the man responsible, Fresno police said.
The Fresno Police Department received a report that a man had been stabbed around 10:45 a.m. in the 4500 block of East Garrett Avenue, near Maple Avenue.
First responders said they arrived to find the victim, a Hispanic male in his late 30's, suffering from multiple stab wounds to his upper body.
He was taken to an area hospital, where he died.
Police said the suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 40's who fled the area in a black mid-size four-door sedan. That vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on Maple Avenue as it left the area.
