According to an inaugural 2025 study by UNICEF exploring youth mental health, six in ten members of Generation Z (ages 14-25) report feeling overwhelmed by news and events happening in their communities, country, and the world in general.
Today’s youth spend an inordinate amount of time online consuming news, among other content. And their constant online engagement is taking a toll on their well-being, causing stress and a sense of disempowerment.
