FENNVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — A person at Fennville High School was recently diagnosed with active tuberculosis, the school district says.
In a letter sent to families and staff members, Fennville Public Schools and the Allegan County Health Department said they are in the process of developing a plan for schools.
“FPS is working alongside the ACHD to develop an appropriate response plan, identify anyone who may have spent extended periods of time around the person with TB while they were contagious, provide testing opportunities, and provide additional information and support,” the department and school district said.
The letter did not provide any information about the patient's identity.
"We understand this news may raise concerns, but please know although active TB can be a serious dis
