ALEXANDRIA, Va. (DC News Now) -- Paws in the Park is returning to Old Town Alexandria for a fun-filled day with the entire family, including Fido.

The free event will be held at the Oronoco Bay Park, located at 100 Madison St., on Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There will be live music, entertainment, food and drinks, vendors, adoptable animals, a costume contest and more.

Paws in the Park benefits the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.

Well-behaved pets are welcome, but they must be leashed, and they cannot be on flexi-leashes or retractable ones.
