The Warren County School Board plans to update rules for employees who communicate with students over social networks.
The School Board hasn’t updated the guidelines for employee use of social networking sites since 2012. Board member Melanie C. Salins made a request at the board's Aug. 8 work session to create a policy to prohibit the use of social media between students and faculty.
The School Board held the first reading for the proposed update on Sept. 17. No one spoke on the item at the meeting. The board plans to hold the second reading at its meeting Wednesday night.
