MEMPHIS, Tenn. — U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said she and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth are coming to Memphis as a federal and state law enforcement surge neared its third day.

Bondi made the announcement in a Fox News interview Tuesday.

"Secretary Hegseth and I are going to be out there, this week, with our people in Memphis," Bondi told host Maria Bartiromo.

Bartiromo clarified that the visit will take place Wednesday morning.

Bondi said they planned to meet with troops, federal agents, state police, the mayor and locals.

Two hundred nineteen National Guard members had been deputized as special U.S. Marshals, she said.
