ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Some short-term rental hosts are concerned there could be more policy changes for short-term rentals in another Atlanta neighborhood.
In August, legislation was passed to ban new short-term rentals in the Home Park community.
Nadia Giordani said she is worried something similar could happen in Buckhead.
Giordani is a longtime host in Cabbagetown.
“We have to be here to advocate for what’s good about short-term rentals and it’s people like me,” she said.
Giordani said she keeps her tiny home occupied about 60% of the month.
“It’s income. So that allows me to stay in my home because my area, my neighborhood has changed,” she said. “It has very much gentrified, and our taxes are high.”
